ATLETICO’S TRAINING CENTER IS A WORLDWIDE BENCHMARK

Its name is not by chance. Atletico’s athletes have a true city at their disposal. There are four o officially sized pitches, a world-class hotel for team concentration featuring 20 suites, game rooms, a restaurant, an auditorium, panoramic deck, industrial kitchen, high-end physiology room, both medical and dental departments, locker rooms, a top-notch gym, heated pool, ice tank, an F7 pitch, and laundry.

The pressroom features privileged views of “pitch one” and several multimedia resources such as a shared sound system, Wi-Fi, among others, providing press workers with a complete professional structure.

The City of Galo was chosen by the Argentine National Squad to be one of its headquarters during the 2014 World Cup.

In 2008, it also hosted the Brazilian National squad’s preparation for a match against Argentina in the 2010 World Cup Qualification.

After having its training center rated Brazil’s best in a 2010 study carried out by TV channel SporTV and the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), Atletico hasn’t sat back. Since then, City of Galo has undergone further upgrades and in 2014, was pointed out by European TV channel Eurosport as one of the world’s top 5 training centers, along with Chelsea’s Cobham Training Center, Ciudad Real Madrid, English National Squad’s St. George’s Park, and Shakhtar Donetsk’s Kirsha Training Center.
